The shortcut series is a collection of miniscule programs, no larger than your typical icon, that make it easy to install shortcuts to often-used tasks, into your start menu. I wrote these to make my life easier when upgrading my firmware. These can be used with HTC Home Screen too. It’s now just quick and easy, and best of all (for me), nice icons are included.
How to use
Just click the link of the shortcut you want to install, from your mobile phone. It’s that easy!
Battery Shortcut – A shortcut to your power control panel (which shows battery state).
Bluetooth Shortcut – A shortcut to your bluetooth control panel.
Facebook Shortcut – A shortcut to http://facebook.com
Google Reader Shortcut – A shortcut to http://reader.google.com
WiFi Shortcut – A shortcut to your WiFi connections control panel.
Several people have asked lately how to do this. So I’m giving away the Visual Studio projects for the two main classes: interet shortcut via the Facebook Shortcut source, and control panel shortcut via the WiFi Control Panel source. If you come up with something useful, let me know and I’ll add it to the list!
